Writer's festival in the Whitsundays

Daydream Island was the perfect setting for the first Writer's Festival in the Whitsundays July 23-25 2010. Susan Duncan, Anne Maria Nicholson, Helen Barnes, Ian Townsend and David Reiter were speakers. Writers of the area were also featured. The program started Friday evening with a cocktail party at Lovers Cove. Saturday was a full day of literary events followed by a gala dinner. Sunday morning featured various authors and panel discussions followed by lunch. It was very successful with all participants promising to return next year. Please go to wowfestival.blogspot.com for more information.

Well hello there Gloria...we met at Brian Poschelk's surgery. You made a big impression on me and I knew straight away I wanted to know more about you so I googled you and found your blog :)

I will be joining the library and my first loan will be your book! I too love to travel and although I am not sure how long I will be in Airle, I am sure I will be here for the writers festival and am looking forward to it.

Have fun, take care and continue being your wonderful self.

Your new friend...Karen
